2018-2024

University of California, Berkeley

I got my Ph.D. in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management, with Rasmus Nielsen, Richard Dodd and Ian Wang as my advisors. My dissertation explored questions of aneuploidy and population structure in coast redwood populations (Sequoia sempervirens). 

2015-2018

University of California, Berkeley

I got my Master of Forestry degree in the Department of Environmental Science, Policy and Management, with John Battles as my advisor. My master's thesis focused on questions of forest management and FSC certification in the Russian Far East. 

2005-2010

St Petersburg State University, Russia

I got my specialists degree (bachelors and masters degree combined) at St Petersburg State University, in the Department of International Journalism. My thesis focused on questions of environmental journalism in the United States. I worked with Svetlana Bodrunova and Angelina Davydova as my advisors.
